ABOUT ROBYN

I live in beautiful  Sydney, Australia.  I have a son and daughter, both of whom I am extremely proud and they are married to wonderful partners.  I am a very blessed to be grandmother to 4 beautiful little boys.

From as far back as I can remember I have always done some form of art, whether it be painting, sketching, pottery, needlecraft, sewing tiny teddy bears, etc.

I was introduced to decorative painting, Bauernmalarei style, in 1985, and my love for the art form grew from there.  It gave me such a thirst for knowledge and improving my painting skills.  You might say, I became addicted!

I was involved with the Folk & Decorative Artists Association in Sydney for many years.

After joining the Society of Decorative Painters in 1990, I found that there was a whole world of decorative painting out there that I wanted to be part of.  I attended my first SDP Convention in 1995 and have attended every year since.  Attending convention has given me the opportunity to learn from many wonderful painters, many of whom are Master Decorative Artists.  It has also given me the opportunity to form long lasting friendships that I will value forever.

I received my  Certified Decorative Artist with the SDP in 2004.  I am an Ann Kingslan Accredited teacher and have a Master Gilding Certificate from the Art Gilding Academy in Sydney.
